New Mexico and Arizona

Where's Waldo?

After waking up at 6: 15 am and driving from Austin, TX to New Mexico, we were ready for some excitement.  So...what could possibly be more exciting than sand!?
At 103 degrees, this was no easy task.

Jumping for Joy... we were just that thrilled to make it to the top!
Motherly-Daughterly Lovin'

We stopped at the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico.  We even made some new friends!

Mom has decided that we are going to get a photo of every state sign after crossing the borders.  Since she powered through 12 hours of driving today (what a champ), she makes the rules.

We decided to drive on down to Benson, Arizona where Jen's friend Ellison is living on a farm.  He lives in a little trailer, so we opted to sleep in the community farm house.  The famers will be getting up at 4:30 am to begin work..hopefully they won't mind some guests in their meeting quarters!

We have a mega-air-mattress for just these types of situations, no big deal.

  1. While you are galavanting around the country, I am here at school with 14 students. The other teachers have about 5 each.
