Seattle, Washington

On the way to Seattle, Washington we stopped in Portland, Oregon for a quick lunch.  The Mexican food was superb!

Portland had tons of "food carts" where locals can pick up a bite for lunch.  They smelled amazing, but after sitting in the car for big hour-long stretches of time, it only makes sense to sit down some more for lunch...all the sitting is exhausting!

Seattle, Washington's Pike's Place Market is the place to be!  It is home to the first ever Starbucks and winning music from some locals.

We enjoyed walking around the market for a while and took in the sights, sounds, and fishy smells!

Seafood is big here, it's a port city.

... What in the world is this!?

The guys at the Pike Place Fish Co. called out the seafood orders and tossed fish to one another!  It was thrilling!

After the market, we drove to Steven and Miriam's sweet and happy home.  They showed us their beautiful views of Seattle!

...and walked us around the famous Gas Works Park.

They also served us our first home-cooked meal of the road-trip!  The lasagna was fantastic!

After supper, we took a walk around town and saw some houseboats!  This one was especially huge.

And for dessert, we stopped to get some frozen custard.  It was the perfect ending to a perfect little night!
