Goodbye Columbia, we are off! We left at 12:00pm Friday afternoon and are driving through the night straight to Austin, Texas. Check out our ride, 2013 brand new Altima. Thanks to the good people at Dick Smith Rentals, they are the best!
We just passed our first state line. Welcome to Georgia! Mom is driving the first part to get us through Atlanta traffic. At some point Jen will take over and then, if/when mom falls asleep, I'll have my turn behind the wheel on the open road. To date, I am unable to drive with mom in the same vehicle. We will ease into that very slowly and, hopefully, will all walk away from this trip unscathed.
